The Alderney Wildlife Trust

On 1st March 2008 the Trust's new "Alderney Record Centre" website was launched, in conjunction with the Alderney Society Museum, to incorporate both the Natural History, and the Geological, Archaeological and Historical records about Alderney, in a single interactive database.

The public will be able to access this site and add additional records to the various items.

The second outside UK to be affiliated to The Wildlife Trusts, was set up in 2002, after a public meeting at which David Bellamy was the principal speaker, was attended by over 300 people who were enthusiastic to create a local Trust.

The author, is one of the only two remaining Founder- Directors and served 5 years as Hon. Treasurer followed by 4 years as President of the Alderney Wildlife Trust.
